How it works
How you match your number
Each Friday, a 6-digit winning number is generated using a Gambling Commission approved Random Number Generator.
To win, the digits in your own number must match the drawn number, and be in the same position.​ For just £1 per week you will be allocated with a unique six-digit lottery number, which will remain yours for as long as you wish to keep playing. You can purchase more than one lottery number if you wish. Winners have to match 3, 4, 5 or all 6 digits of the winning number in the correct place in the sequence.

Every Friday, the lucky winners are sent their prizes automatically, so if you win, there is no need for you to claim. Unity is the nation's fundraising lottery platform. It's designed to give good causes large and small the chance to raise money through their own weekly lottery. When you join the lottery using the Unity platform, the platform guarantees that at least 50p of every £1 you play goes to HospiceCare North Northumberland. Why we need to fundraise
All our care is delivered free at the point of need. This year we expect our running costs to be around £1.5m with just a 5% contribution from the NHS. The rest we have to find from fundraising activities, donations, trusts, legacies and our retail stores. The Lottery is an important part of our income stream and when you sign up to play the lottery you are directly helping us to support local families like the Grey family featured in our short film below
Lottery Terms & Conditions
Last year our lottery proceeds were £2,380 (2023-24). A minimum of 50% of the total lottery proceeds is spent on supporting the work carried out by HospiceCare North Northumberland, 18.4% on prizes, and 31.6% on the running cost and administration of the lottery. The likelihood of an individual winning a prize is 1 in 63. A Random Number Generator is used to pick a winning number sequence, and a range of prizes is available for matching 3, 4, 5, or 6 digits.
