Emma Arthur, HospiceCare Fundraiser said “the van has been an absolute lifeline for us over the last few months and has definitely made running events easier and delivering shop donations more efficient. Prior to having the van, we were using our own vehicles to transport event kit and shop donations, which often meant several runs to and from the venue. Now we can load up everything in one go which saves valuable time. We also use the van at events to promote our clinical services – it’s been a great talking point everywhere we go.”
Richard Waters, Chairman of Alnwick Youth Hostel said “We are delighted to help out with such a worthwhile local cause. The donation of a van to HospiceCare came about when we became aware that a large percentage of their income comes from their fundraising events and at the time they were finding it increasingly difficult to transport everything they needed. It has been rewarding for the Board to see how invaluable our support has been to the hospice and that our support will continue to benefit the charity which is a vital part of our community.”
